Our story.
Once upon a time, Will and Dave played guitar in the halls between classes and at lunch. Dave switched over to bass and the duo serenaded students daily for a while. All was good. And then, COVID came along and shut down the hallway concerts (and a good deal of society, too).
Fast forward to August 2021. School’s open again. Students are in dire need of a daily dose of emotionally up-lifting, soul recharging, bop inducing music.
Enter the Hall Monitors. Five teachers this time, not two. Guitars and bass (electric, now), percussion (hand drums, cajon, etc.), harmonica, and a lot of soul. Playing two shows a day, before school and at lunch, in the hallway.
All is well until a month in, when this conversation happens:
“Hey guys, we have a gig in December.”
“A gig? We’re not even a band!”
“Well, we are now.”
And the rest is history.
